WARRIORS CRASH OUT OF CHAN 2021 - Football News (ZW)

The Warrior's loss to West African side, Burkina Faso on Wednesday meant the end of the CHAN (African Nations Championship) campaign for the team.

The Zimbabwe's locally-based senior football men team lost 3-1 to Burkina Faso in their second Group A match after having played Cameroon and losing 1 - 0 to the hosts. The match was played at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Vice team captain, Patson Jaure had equalised for the Warriors in the 23rd minute of the match after Burkina Faso had opened scoring in the 15th minute, however Burkina Faso took advantage of Zimbabwe's injury woes and scored two more goals in the last half to win the match.

Warriors will now play Mali in their last match of the tournament before departure.
The match will be played in Douala at the Japoma Stadium on Sunday.

And in another match of the group, Burkina Faso will play against Cameroon in their last group game at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
