CHAN2021: 'Our experience is even better than that of Cameroon' Warriors Captain -Nekati

Zimbabwe Warriors team captain, Ian Nekati, put up bold claims while speaking to the media of the team's strategy in tonight's Africa Nations Championship soccer finals opener against Cameroon in Yaounde.

Nekati revealed that the Warriors will use their 'superior experience' in CHAN as  an advantage against Cameroon, and will attack from the start of the match while keeping defenders in position.

He also said, while speaking to the Herald, that Zimbabwe won't be threatened by the 'host status' of their opponents;

"We have talked about it as a team and as players only," the skipper.

"There is nothing special about facing them on their own (lion's) den.

"This is our first game of the campaign, and it determines where we want to go. Our aim in the first place is to progress to the next round.

"We will do that by getting positive results, especially in this opening encounter against Cameroon.

"We are going to put our bodies on the wall and bombard them. That's what we are here for. We have matured, especially in this tournament where our experience is even better than that of Cameroon.

"We will have to attack right from the start while keeping guard in position."

Cameroon vs ZImbabwe starts at 18:00 CAT and it will be played in Yaounde, Cameroon.
