CHAN: Warriors Team Players Recover From Covid-19 As African Nations Championship Nears - ZIFA


Fourteen of the Zimbabwe Warriors players, and the technical team members who had tested positive for coronavirus late in December, 2020, while in camp for the upcoming CHAN soccer finals in Cameroon are said to have had recovered and have resumed 'training' for the tournament.

As ZIFA (Zimbabwe Football Association) revealed:

"Warriors ready to resume ball work All but one of the 15 members of our CHAN team who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered Group training resumes this afternoon. Another test will be done on 12/01 ahead of departure for Cameroon on the 14th"

However, Silas Songani, who tested positive for the virus while on duty  for FC Platinum in Dar Es Salam playing against Simba SC will miss CHAN (African Nations Championship) 2021.
