Tinotenda Kadewere is the current French Ligue 2’s top goal scorer at 12 goals, and the Zimbabwe Warriors technical manager, Mpandare said the injury is a huge blow to the Warriors as he has been scoring lots of goals for his club.

Wellington Mpandare spoke to the Standard-Sport on Saturday saying that the coach Joey Antipas will decide if he wants to find a replacement for Tinotenda Kadewere in the Zimbabwe Warriors 24-man squad named for the Afcon Qualifiers.

“It’s a big blow, he’s been scoring lots of goals in France and obviously, the coach would have wanted him for the upcoming matches”.

“Remember he missed the World Cup qualifier against Somalia and he was looking forward to the upcoming matches because it would have been the first time for him to be playing under coach Joey (Antipas)”.

“He is obviously disappointed and it’s a big blow for us. We will discuss with the coach to see if he wants a replacement or we continue with those 23 players”. Source: Pindula.

Tinotenda Kadewere currently plays for French Ligue 2 side, Le Havre.
