This week ahead of the EPL clash, Rudiger was being monitored for adverse reaction to the knee injury.

'But he is ready to push for a place in Saturday’s Premier League match at Norwich,' according to the Sun Football UK.

Rudiger who is set to be Chelsea's coach, Frank Lampard first choice central defender, will provide relief for the manager who had seen his team concede seven goals in three matches.

Rudiger spoke in an interview with Chelsea TV saying,

‘I’ve been back for almost two weeks with the team and I’m feeling better each day but of course there is still game fitness missing, which is what I need to get better,’ the 26-year-old told the official Chelsea website.

‘I know I need to be patient. There’s no need to rush anything at the moment because we have a long season to go. You have to go day by day and that is what I’m doing.’
Rudiger will likely bring an improvement to Chelsea's visibly fragile backline, which is currently made up of Andreas Christensen, and Kourt Zouma who was on loan from Chelsea at another Engalnd Premier League side, Everton. The Sun.

Antonio Rudiger featured in a Chelsea's under 23 match against Liverpool on Monday to test his fitness,

‘I have to test myself before I play in the Premier League,’ he continued. ‘It was good to be back on the pitch because in the game there is no holding back and that is what I need to get better and get fit. I was very pleased and thankful to the development team for having me there.

‘I hadn’t played any game for three months so I had full motivation and also a desire to play with respect for the young guys. As a senior player, you have to lead by example and with your actions, not just by talking.’ CFC Official Media.

Chelsea under 23 squad for Premier League 2 won the match 3- 0.

Another vital Chelsea's first team player, Hudson-Odoi, is also reportedly back from an 'Achillies injury', and has started training, and is expected to feature in matches from the end of this month.

Chelsea will be looking for their first win of the England Premier Soccer League 2019/20 season after losing their first match 4 - 0 to Manchester United, and drawing 1 - 1 in the other match against Leicester City.
