Talent Chawapiwa Zimbabwe Position Winger

Amazulu based Zimbawe Warriors winger, Talent Chawapiwa is highly expectant of playing Mohamed Salah, atleast in the first match Africa Cup of  Nations (Afcon) 2019, whom he admires very much and is at times compared.

Zimbabwe plays Egypt in the opener of Afcon 2019 on 21 June, and Talent Chawapiwa is likely to feature for Zimbabwe's Warriors as he was influential in the tournaments' qualifying stages.

And Mohamed Salah is most likely to be part of Egypt's starting XI as he's regarded as the key player.

“Hazvitaurike, it feels great you know rubbing shoulders with someone you always post all the time.

Chawapiwa out of admiration frequently posts about Mohamed Salah on his social media accounts.

“When I face him I think I will fulfill my duties, what is required of me as a player.

"But I think I will have one or two words with him after the match,” said Talent Chawapiwa.

Talent Chawapiwa has been included in Zimbabwe National Team coach, Sunday Chidzambwa's, 34 Men Provisional Squad for the Africa Cup of Nations and Coasafa Challenge Cup 2019.

“It’s a great feeling to be part of the squad.  AFCON is the African World Cup so I am so excited about it."

“I want to know how it feels" said the Amazulu FC winger.

“I look forward to play and put an effort. In preparation for this tournament I have been working hard at my team.

“When I played my last game for the national team, the coaches told me what l needed to work on. So I have been trying to improve myself and work on my weaknesses.

“I tried to make sure that I am well equipped for camp. I don’t want to miss any match because there will also be opportunities because scouts and other coaches will be watching” he added.

Zimbabwe have been drawn in Group A for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations 2019 with Egypt, Uganda and DR Congo. And Talent Chawapiwa believes the Warriors can go all the way to win the cup.

“I think we are in a tough group but we want to win the cup.

“Playing the hosts is not an easy job and we are also playing Uganda who are doing well” said Chawapiwa.
