Caf Champions League Final Set _ Mamelodi Sundowns And TP Mazembe Crash Out

The Total Caf Champions League 2018/19 season has drawn near to the end, with the final set to be played between the two giant clubs of Morocco, and Tunisia.

Yesterday, the results between Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) and Mamelodi Sundows (South Africa) meant Wydad Casablanca will play in the Champions League Final made up of two match legs on the 24th of May, and the 31st.

Having won the first leg  2 : 1, Wydad Casablanca were strong defensively in the 0 : 0 draw in the second leg of their encounter with Sundowns FC at Atteridgeville near the City of Pretoria.

And Congolese side TP Mazembe failed to capitalise on their chances, as the team dominated in ball possession and managed to keep Esperance (Tunisia) in their own half but only creating a few good chances to score the goals needed for qualification.

TP Mazembe took twenty shots at goal but only managed to get seven on target and the match ended in a 0 : 0 draw, meaning qualification for Es Tunis which carried a one-nill win from their last Champions League meeting with Mazembe.

Esperance were the Champions in the 2011 Caf Champions League final against Wydad Casablanca, so the Moroccan side will be looking forward to redemption against the side looking to win back to back Championship.

The prize money for this year's Total Champions League Championship is USD$ 2.5 million.
