Sad News - Cote d'ivoire's Man U defender ruled out of Afcon 2019

Eric Bailly was injured during Manchester United's home game on Sartuday against Chelsea FC which was the 36th encounter for each of the two teams in the English Premier League 2018/19 season, the match ended in a draw (1 - 1).

Sadly, Manchester United's medical team has revealed that Eric Bailley suffered knee ligament damage at his clash with Chelsea player, Kovacic, and will now miss the rest of the England Premier League season due to the injury, and most importantly, the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 in Egypt which is set for June & July

A statement on the Mufc's website reads:

We can confirm that Manchester United defender Eric Bailly suffered a medial ligament injury on his right knee during Sunday’s Premier League match against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

“The problem means that the Ivory Coast international will not play for the Reds again this season, missing the remaining top-flight matches against Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.

“Furthermore, Bailly is also now unable to play in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament.”

Bailly is a key player for the Elephants (Ivory Coast's Senior Men's National Team) in defense and has made 35 appearances for the side since the year 2015.
