Mamelodi Sundows wants Champions League match against Wydad postponed

South African side taking part in the Total Caf Champions League 2018/19, Mamelodi Sundowns, reportedly, have written to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to have their Champions League date for the game against Wydad Athletic moved to a later date.

The match is schedule for Friday, 26 April (2019), but coach Mosimane wants it played on Saturday 27 due to their midweek PSL match.

Sundowns play Free State Stars FC in South Africa's Premier Soccer League on Tuesday before travelling to Morocco and would only be left with two days to travel for the Caf semi-final tie against Wydad Athletic.

Mosimane's statement to the media:

Wydad are aware that we are playing on Tuesday and the game is on Friday. We are trying to get the match played on Saturday,” he said.

Recently, Al Ahly were also allowed the chance to push their match against Sundowns. Source Kawowo Sports.
