Highlanders FC is yet to get player clearances for four new players - a race against time before the start of the PSL

Highlanders FC are yet to get player clearances for their new team members; Prince Dube, Nqobizitha Masuku (midfielder), Bukhosi Sibanda and Peter Nyirenda (from Zambia), according to a report.

The players are believed to be very important in the team's first XI, and Highlanders FC might play their first match of the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League 2019 season against Black Rhinos FC without the new players.

Peter Nyirenda must have a work permit to play for a team in Zimbabwe (Highlanders FC), (he played for New Monze Swallows in Zambia last season), and Nqobozitha Masuku, Bukhosi Sibanda and Prince Dube are in need of reverse clearances.

Highlanders FC Official Statement through their Chief Executive Officer Nhlanhla Dube;

"The four players are all duly registered as Highlanders players, but the other key papers are yet to come through...

"We are hopeful that all will be sorted out in time for the opener against Black Rhinos. The technical team is abreast with that and I'm sure they will be prepared for any eventualities, but look, we are really not pressing panic buttons, we remain very positive that all will come through.
