Zimbabwe to host Cosafa 2019

Zimbabwe has been granted provisional hosting rights of the 2019s' edition of the Cosafa Cup, it's now up to the locals to make a decision to host the tournament.

The COSAFA Cup or COSAFA Senior Challenge is an annual tournament for teams from Southern Africa organized by Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA).

Zifa will liase with the government of Zimbabwe on whether the country will back the hosting of the tournament.

Zimbabwe's government will likely back up Zifa's new administration in the offer that will see, Felton Kamambo's regime host their first major tournament in office, and also the country reaping the perks of hosting the Cosafa tournament.

Zifa earlier on, before the election that saw a shift in its administration members, had already shown interest in hosting Cosafa, and likely the current regime is also in favour of hosting the tournament.

The Cosafa 2019 Tournament will be held from the 19th of May, up to 1 June (2019).
