Leeroy Mavhunga vows to stay at Yadah FC until June

Yadah FC's Leeroy Mavhunga has vowed to stay at the club until June 2019 when the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season goes on a break. He is set to help the club
throughout half of the season which was reportedly facing a turbalent time which saw rumours of the 'Yadah Football Club' franchise going on sale.

The 20 year old midfielder played an important role in the last season's 13th position league finish for Yadah FC, and he is likely to remain a key player in the 2019 ZPSL season for the club.

Caps United FC and Clube Desportivo Feirense of Portugal's Primera Liga were last year reported to be on the hunt for Leeroy Mavhunga, but it's not very clear where the player would go after leaving Yadah FC in June.

In an interview with the local sport media he said,

“I was supposed to go in January but my father and manager Prophet Magaya says I will go in June.
“He is my father so I do what he advises me, so I am waiting for the correct time. I work under his instructions.

“The team is still interested in my services and I am yet to sign in June that is if Prophet Magaya doesn’t have any plans for me,”

Mavunga says his focus now is putting his maximum effort on team’s targets.

“Right now I just want to make sure that I work hard for my team and we don’t want to fight relegation again like what we did last season.
“We want to at least finish the season in top five or 10.”  H-Metro
