Zifa President Felton Kamambo travels to Dakar Senegal for 2018 Caf Awards

Felton Kamambo is in Senegal for the Caf Awards. The new Zifa president travelled yesterday, January 06, to Dakar where the 2018 Caf Awards will be held on 09, January 2019.

His 'travel' is part of the duties of a president in a football body under the association of CAF, (which is ZIFA). Kamambo believes his first tour as president of ZIFA is a chance to speak with fellow workers from Africa in football.

At the ceremony, there will be top individuals in football of whom include Gianni Infantino (FIFA president), Fatma Samoura (FIFA general secretary), and CAF president Ahmad Ahmad. There will also be leaders from the different Africa's football associations, and the president of Liberia George Weah (who was once Footballer of the Year in the World), president of Rwanda Paul Kagame, and Mack Sall president of Senegal.

Also, Samuel Eto’o, Michael Essien, Mohamed Aboutrika, and Didier Drogba will be at the event and will likely play in a match dedicated to Senegal great Jules Francois Bocande who is now late.

“As you know, we are still new in the office. This is an opportunity to engage and to learn how others are doing it in their own countries. So I will be leaving on Sunday (yesterday) and returning on Wednesday,” Felton Kamambo told the Herald.

As part of his activities in Dakar, Senegal, Zifa president Felton Kamambo will tonight, attend an event at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium tonight for the Senegal's 2002 team of Diouf's fame, which managed to get to the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals, to engage the CAF legends in honour of Bocande.
